A National Seminar was organized by Department of Law, Arunachal University of Studies on the occasion of Constitution Day/National Law Day on 26th November, 2015 at University campus, Namsai.
The topic of seminar was “Preamble to Indian Constitution: Importance and Relevance “. Prof. Vijay Laxmi Pandit, Pro Vice- Chancellor, Arunachal University of Studies, Namsai was the chief guest and Dr. O.P.Sharma, as Guest of Honour. The seminar was convened by Dr. Santosh Kumar Tiwari, Associate Professor & Head, Faculty of Law, Arunachal University of Studies, Namsai. The Chief Guest Prof. Prof. Vijay Laxmi Pandit emphasized on” Importance of preamble and its relevance”. Dr.S.K.Tiwari highlighted the occasion of Constitution Day and presented a detail structure of preamble and its importance along with relevance of preamble in present Indian scenario. Miss Karbi Ete and Miss Khoda Meena, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Law, presented descriptive analysis of “Promotion of Admission of students belonging to SC/ST in private universities”. LL.M student Juli Gogoi presented a paper on “Preamble: The Arch- Stone of The Constitution of India” and Boronali Chetri presented a paper on “Challenges against Legal Education in India”. Students of LL.B were actively presented their thoughts about constitution day’s celebration. In the continuation Mr. R.K. Paul had given current status and future scope of law in reference to Arunachal Pradesh. On this occasion the other faculty members i.e., Dr. Shivam Chaturvedi, Dr. A. K. Tripathi, Dr. Naveen Pandey, Dr. B. Komow, Mrs. Chipu Boje, Ms. Neetu Lamding, Ms. Annie Hopak, Mr. D. Pal, Mrs. Shweta Aggarwal, Mr. Shiv Mangal Singh etc, research scholars and students were presented. The program was anchored by Dr. Naveen Pandey.
